arc Movement Studios is passionate about movement and learning in a fun environment. We offer small group Reformer, creating safe flows in a supportive environment to improve strength and flexibility. We want you to feel energised and confident as you walk out the door. Head on up the stairs to our Reformer Studio.

The reformer is a spring loaded machine providing differing levels of resistance. The amazing thing about the reformer is it’s versatility - exercises can be done in all positions to train the body in a dynamic way that can be individualised to each person.

Essential Reformer Pilates: Max 6 People

The perfect start to your Pilates journey or a great refresher and introduction to Pilates at arc Movement Studios.

A fun full-body movement class on the Reformer to develop & grow your Pilates practice. Perfect for everyday. Learn about breathing and moving your body from head to toes. A sequence of feel-good flowing exercises at a controlled pace; you will receive clear instruction & guidance. Learn to move with ease & feel control over your body. Improve your strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. Leave feeling energised and empowered. These classes are designed for all ages and abilities, as progressions and modifications will be given. Suitable for all levels. Postnatal clients welcome (following clearance from Pelvic Physio).

Dynamic Reformer Pilates: Max 6 People

A more challenging, faster paced full-body movement class designed for injury-free clients with previous experience of Reformer Pilates. This class will include some more intermediate/advanced exercises. Designed to give you a feeling of strength & freedom. Push, pull, twist, curl, squat, lunge & smile your way through an energising class that will leave you feeling strong, empowered & rosy-cheeked!

Jumpboard Reformer Pilates: Max 6 People

Jumpboard Reformer is a dynamic, low-impact workout that combines the strength and control of Pilates with cardio-style jumping. Using a padded jumpboard attached to the reformer, you'll move through fun, full-body exercises in various positions to build upper and lower body strength, core stability, and cardiovascular fitness.

Pregnancy Reformer Pilates Kelburn Upstairs Studio

Dancers, Gymnasts, Cheerleaders, Sports People - Everyone Welcome!

The classes include Reformer and Mat Pilates taught by experienced Pilates teachers with backgrounds as Professional dancers and dance teaching.

With a maximum of 6 people per class we offer a high level of attention and guidance to our students with specific attention to alignment and technique. Best suited to young people 12-18 years of age.

arc Pilates for Young People classes will work towards improving performance and preventing injuries related to alignment, weakness, imbalances and faulty movement patterns. These classes are not just for dancers, gymnasts, cheerleaders, sports people but all will be appropriate for any young person struggling with posture/alignment as they grow

Casual $32, Concession 5 Classes $143.50, Concession 10 Classes $256. Please note concession classes are paid in advance/upfront

Our classes are designed to support your changing body throughout your pregnancy. We focus on pelvic floor activation and stability, upper back mobility and functional strengthening to meet the demands of daily life and help you return to the exercise you enjoy.

If you are experiencing any pain/ bladder leakage or sexual dysfunction we recommend a private appointment initially where your therapist can decide if the classes will be right for you and provide a handover to the teacher for safe and effective movement.

Please discuss exercising during your pregnancy with your primary health provider and/or midwife.

If you have been attending our reformer classes you can continue to do so up to 16 weeks in our Essential Reformer classes with clearance from your primary health provider and/or midwife.

Clients will use a Pilates Reformer, which is a piece of equipment that consists of a sliding carriage, springs, and straps.

The Reformer enables a low-impact workout that provides both resistance and support for the body.

We also offer Post Natal Pilates Classes which are Mat Based and new babies are welcome.
