Our Mat classes are a combination of the Pilates based Mat repertoire and functional movements. Perfect for Everyday.

Discover the building blocks of movement through a full repertoire of Pilates exercises executed in their pure form on the mat. Functional movements are based on real-world activities such as sitting, standing, squatting, walking and running. Relearning and mastering these movements can prevent the body from degeneration and injury.

Theses classes are designed for all ages and abilities as progressions and modifications will be given. They are fun and energetic while improving your knowledge of how you should move in everyday life. Each session is guided by your teacher with close attention to alignment and movement quality. 

Postnatal Pilates Mat: Max people 6 | Kelburn Upstairs Studio

Our classes are designed to support you through your ever changing postnatal journey. We focus on pelvic floor activation and stability, upper back mobility and functional strengthening to meet the demands of daily life and help you return to the exercise you enjoy. There are many benefits, both physical and otherwise associated with incorporating stretching, strengthening and low-impact fitness into your life and our Pilates classes are an excellent option for this.

If you are experiencing any pain/ bladder leakage or sexual dysfunction we recommend a private appointment initially where your therapist can decide if the classes will be right for you and provide a handover to the teacher for safe and effective movement.

New babies who are not yet on the move are welcome to class.
